lat/lon and the GIS Research Group of the Department of Geography at the University of Bonn are the main contributors of the Free Software Project deegree. Currently, deegree is the most substantial implementation of standards of the Open Geo Spatial Consortium (OGC) in the field of Free Software.

lat/lon implements customer-specific extensions and adaptions of the software framework that are provided to the entire community. Especially on the basis of the deegree-framework, lat/lon developes tailored solutions, beginning from interactive maps to spatial data infrastructres including SDI-based portals.
